This Privacy Policy complies with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and is being updated to align with the proposed Consumer Privacy Protection Act (Bill C-27) as it moves through Parliament.
If you are visiting from a province with its own privacy legislation such as Quebec (Law 25 / Bill 64), Alberta (PIPA), or British Columbia (PIPA BC) we comply with those laws as well.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for or as required by Canadian law.
- Newsletter subscribers: Your email is retained until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed within 30 days.
- Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 12 months to allow us to follow up if needed, then deleted.
- Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely. Individual-level data is retained for up to 26 months in line with Google Analytics defaults.
- Comments: Retained for the life of the article unless you request removal.
9. Your Privacy Rights
As a Canadian resident, you have meaningful rights over your personal information. You have the right to:
Access Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Withdrawal of Consent Withdraw your consent to how we use your data at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing before you withdrew consent.
Unsubscribe Opt out of our newsletter or any marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
Deletion Request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it.
Complaint File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at priv.gc.ca if you believe we have violated your privacy rights.
Quebec residents also have the right to data portability and to object to the use of their information for certain purposes under Law 25.

10. Children’s Privacy
Range Times is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at privacy@rangetimes.ca and we will delete it promptly.

Our articles and pages may contain links to external websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to rangetimes.ca. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.
12. International Visitors
Range Times is a Canadian platform intended primarily for Canadian audiences. If you are visiting from outside Canada, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
